We rotationally graze our animals once a week, moving them to fresh pasture every seven days. This allows the animals to access fresh forage while also allowing the land to rest and recover.
Reintroduce Manure:
We reintroduce manure from our pastured animals to the soil, which helps to improve soil fertility and structure.
No-Till Farming:
We practice no-till farming on our pastures, which helps us maintain the soil structure, minimize soil erosion, and increase organic matter in the soil.
Manage Grazing Intensity
We manage the intensity of our grazing to ensure that we are not overgrazing our pastures. This helps us to maintain healthy and productive pastures for our animals.
Composting:
We use compost to introduce beneficial microorganisms and nutrients to our soil, which helps us grow healthier and more nutrient-dense pastures for our animals.
Holistic Approach
We believe in raising animals in harmony with nature. Our birds live outside in the fresh air and grass, foraging and eating insects, while also fertilizing our grass and building healthy soil for our pastures.
